“I think Gregor and his team were somewhat daunted at the prospect of taking on an architects own home. I was wrong and he took to the task with relish by leading his team and subcontractors on a project that not only delivered our “dream home” but won a 2018 Master Builders Association award. I loved the whole process and being on the site daily with Gregor and his team was one of the highlights of my 35 year architectural career. Through my 35 year architectural career I have come across many builders who take delight in bagging architects for being too precious about their designs and stating “it can’t be done”. It was therefore refreshing to have worked with Gregor Macdonald on the construction of my own home and be told “we can do that Graeme...not a problem”.....and he did. I’ve always believed that a happy team is a productive team and this was certainly the case in Gregor and his team building my own home. Without exception, all of Gregor’s team and their subcontractors all had a can do attitude and were keen to cooperate with and assist each other. I never witnessed anyone ever blaming others for their mistakes and always looking for solutions not obstacles. The attendance by all at the end of project party was a true testament to Gregor and his teams work ethos.”
